Christopher William Ford was born in 1951 to Joan and Cyril Ford. His life's work was mainly devoted to engineering. Firstly with cars then electricity, then building of The Channel Tunnel and lastly on the railway. "Chris" as he was known to close friends and family was a true grafter and worked his fingers to the bone to support his ever growing family of 10 children with his wife Susan Ford nee Williams. He is the proud father to Claire, Craig, Charlotte, Christopher (Name Sake), run out of names beginning with 'C' Gareth, Nicky, Mathew, Daniel, Miranda and finally William aka Bill!! My (Miranda) most treasured memories were of Christmas Day, every year my Dad would get up early on probably his only day off in the year to go down stairs while we all waited on the landing to see if Father Christmas had been, he would then ring some ornamental cattle bells that were hung in the kitchen and "see Father Christmas out" at which point he would call up to us all eagerly waiting and say "He's been" Among many, many other great and sincerely loving memories I generally remember how hard working and devoted he was to everything including Fomula 1 motor racing and Aircraft. Such a great loss to be taken so suddenly and so early. There isn't a day that passes that we do not think about our Dad. Miss and Love you so much xx Randums xx
